The MP argues that the decision to halt the construction of fully equipped hospitals many of which were already underway undermines Ghana’s long-term healthcare goals and wastes valuable public resources. He insists that such actions should not go unpunished.
“It’s unacceptable to abandon major health infrastructure and replace it with CHPS compounds that lack the capacity to handle serious medical cases,” he stated.
Nyarko believes this move is not only short-sighted but also a betrayal of public trust, particularly in rural communities that desperately need access to comprehensive medical care.
His call for accountability has sparked debate across political and civic circles, with many questioning whether Ghana’s healthcare priorities are being driven by political motives rather than genuine public need.
