Truck Accident Claims Life of 61-Year-Old Man in Aburi

In a tragic incident, a 61-year-old man has lost his life in a tipper truck accident that occurred in Aburi, a town in Ghana's Eastern Region.
The accident took place near the Aburi Total filling station as the truck, driven by 30-year-old Michael Asinyo, was descending a hill towards a newly developed community. The truck, which was loaded with quarry dust, had two passengers on board at the time.
Asinyo, who was behind the wheel, is reported to have lost control of the steering, causing the heavy vehicle to overturn and fall onto its passenger side.
The impact of the accident resulted in fatal injuries to 61-year-old George Amoah, one of the passengers in the truck. Amoah succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
Amoah's body has since been transported to the Tetteh Quarshie Memorial Hospital Mortuary for preservation and autopsy. Meanwhile, the driver, Michael Asinyo, has been detained by the police to assist with the ongoing investigation into the incident.
This tragic event has once again highlighted the need for improved road safety measures and stricter enforcement of traffic regulations in Ghana. Authorities have assured that a thorough investigation will be conducted to determine the exact cause of the accident and hold any responsible parties accountable.
In a related development, renowned Ghanaian filmmaker Socrate Safo has called for the arrest of the founder and presiding Archbishop of the Action Chapel International Ministry, Nicholas Duncan-Williams, for openly admitting to past crimes such as armed robbery. Safo's comments underscore the growing public demand for accountability and justice in the country.
Meanwhile, Canada has opened up new job opportunities for skilled immigrants from Ghana, offering a chance for Ghanaians to explore better employment prospects abroad.
