Mahama Urges Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituents to be Vigilant Ahead of General Elections

John Dramani Mahama, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has called on members of the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency to be vigilant as the country prepares for the general elections in December.
Addressing a gathering of NDC supporters in the constituency, Mahama emphasized the importance of vigilance and the need to avoid past electoral losses due to a lack of vigilance.
"We cannot afford to lose this election due to a lack of vigilance," Mahama said. "I am urging all of you to be on high alert and ensure that our hard-earned victory is not stolen from us."
Mahama pledged to allocate resources for a door-to-door campaign to secure victory for the party's parliamentary candidate, John Dumelo. The party will launch the campaign soon and will campaign continuously until December 7, visiting markets and shopping centers to ensure Dumelo's election as the Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon.
Moreover, Mahama highlighted the importance of recruiting qualified individuals as party polling agents to ensure that the elections are not rigged. He urged members to send their best people, preferably those with a tertiary education, to be trained as party agents.
"We need our most capable and educated members to serve as polling agents," Mahama said. "They must be vigilant and ready to defend the votes of the people of Ayawaso West Wuogon."
Ayawaso West Wuogon is a strategic constituency for the NDC, as the party believes that securing a victory there will pave the way for Mahama's presidential bid. The constituency has traditionally been a stronghold of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), but the NDC is determined to turn the tide in their favor.
The upcoming campaign and the call for vigilance underscore the high stakes involved in the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency, as the NDC seeks to regain its footing in the political landscape of Ghana.
