Prophet Oduro Slams MPs Over Chaotic Vetting Session
During his sermon on February 2, 2025, Prophet Oduro condemned the actions of the MPs, labeling them a disgrace to the nation. He argued that those involved in the chaos do not merit the title “Honourable,” as they have failed to maintain the dignity expected of their positions.
“Look at the actions of those who are supposed to be role models. You went to Parliament and resorted to throwing chairs. You've reduced yourselves to mere jesters,” he remarked.
“I would never criticize Parliament as an institution, but it’s disheartening to see how a few individuals have brought disgrace upon themselves. You’ve given the public reason to question the laws of this country, the Speaker of Parliament, and the entire Parliamentary Service of Ghana,” he added passionately.
He continued, “The constituents you represent would never partake in such absurdity. We would never behave in such a foolish, outrageous, and trivial manner. The title ‘parliamentarian’ should carry the same respect as ‘man of God.’ That’s why we use the terms ‘Reverend’ and ‘Honourable’… But these individuals do not deserve such titles.”
