'You call to threaten a whole me; are you not scared of me?' – Rev. Kusi Boateng
Rev Victor Kusi Boateng, the founder and leader of Power Chapel Worldwide, has disclosed that he has been receiving numerous threats to his life. Speaking at the 4th Day of his Signs and Tokens Conference on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, Rev Kusi Boateng recounted a recent incident where an individual sent to harm him was involved in a car crash, resulting in the person breaking a leg.
The pastor expressed astonishment at the audacity of those threatening him, given the miraculous deeds he attributes to divine intervention. "A few hours before I came to preach, an unknown number called me to threaten me; a whole me. Some people don’t fear," he remarked during his ministration.
Rev Kusi Boateng shared his disbelief that people would dare to threaten him despite the numerous signs and wonders he believes God has performed through him. He recounted the incident in which a person who intended to harm him experienced a severe accident. "They tried to go and do something in my house in Accra, the car crashed and the person broke a leg," he said, emphasizing the futility of such attempts against him.
He further cautioned those who might underestimate him or his divine mission. "Are you not scared of me? You have tried so many times. If you are not scared of me, you go through my archives and look at the things God has used me to do and say and you play," he urged.
Rev Kusi Boateng made it clear that while he might be a different person outside the pulpit, his role as a spiritual leader carries a significant weight of divine authority. "When I am outside the pulpit, I’m a different person. But when I stand here and I pick up this (microphone) and I say ‘Thus saith the Lord,’ you better be careful," he warned.
His statements highlight the challenges and threats faced by religious leaders, even as they continue their spiritual and community work. The incident and his response underscore the tension between faith and the threats that sometimes accompany a high-profile religious life.
